Dear Friends & Supporters of the Allegany County Celtic Festival & Magee Family Highland Games,
This year we will celebrate the sixth (6th) annual Allegany County Celtic Festival & Magee Family Highland Games on Saturday, June 2, 2018. The festival will once again be held at Firemen’s Park on Center and Woodruff Streets in the Village of Cuba, NY. The amenities there proved to be just what our attendees and entertainers/vendors needed. The location is ideal and very visible from the I-86, which drew in attendees to our festival last year! We believe that this will be, by far, our biggest and best festival thus far. Due to your generous sponsorship in the past years, we have witnessed the growth of our festival and the support of our attendees. We thank you for your past support, and we hope we can count on your continued support this year of this worthwhile event. If you are new to our event, we welcome you and hope that you will consider coming on board and donating to help this festival become the largest event in Allegany County.
As in past years, the proceeds from our festival will benefit veterans and the programs that support them in this area. This year our beneficiary will be the Cuba, NY Veterans of Foreign Wars. The VFW sponsors many outstanding programs of support for local veterans. We are very pleased to be able to donated to them knowing that our gift will be put to very good use for our veterans!
Our festival always has something for everyone. There will be Celtic musicians and dancers, bagpipe bands, clans and re-enactors, dog agility demonstrations, activities for the kids and Highland athletes competing in heavy events while wearing kilts. These athletes can become professionals and go on to Scotland and compete there – the birth place of the Games! They are not just local guys and gals coming together for a day to just throw heavy things in an exhibition; they are actual Highland athletes from all over the United States and Canada competing to better their record in order to advance to the World Championship Games! This year our athletic director and son of Beth, Matt Hand has been selected to represent the United States at the Castle Mae Scottish Games in Scotland on August 4th! Our festival draws attendees not only from Allegany County, but from surrounding counties, as well as folks from other states and Canada. As well, many of our vendors come from other states and counties. We are excited about how our festival is reaching folks outside of Allegany County! We are helping to put our little county on the map in a very special way, and you can be a part of that with your donation/sponsorship!
Enclosed is a description of our sponsorship levels. We feel that you will find one of these levels to work for you and let you get involved as much as you desire. Each option offers many wonderful perks and the opportunity to be recognized for your generosity. We are always available to meet with you to discuss our great festival. You can contact us at the number below to set up a meeting time if that is what you desire. We request that your sponsorship reach us by May 1, 2018.
Please contact us with any questions you may have at (585)365-2152. Thank you for your support and appreciated generosity.
